Holiday Exterior Pots
I purchased the black pot from AT HOME for about $50. I use this every season so it was worth the investment.
The berries I got from Hobby Lobby for 50% off (The entire store rotates sales so wait until you can snag a good one). I purchased 2 fake berry steams for $6 each and one fake greenery with berries for $7. The real greenery I got from Wagner’s off Penn Ave. They have pretty affordable greenery – I got one pack of tree tops (bundle of 5) for $12.99 and one bundle of red pine Norway boughs $8.99. I also decided to cut down a few sturdy branches from some trees in the backyard and sprayed those with silver spray paint.

Note- if you are reusing a pot from your summer plants then keep the soil in it. Another trick I’ve used is to fill up the pot with empty plastic bottles so that I don’t waste a ton of soil when I don’t need it. The empty plastic bottles is a great way to take up extra space and save on the cost of potting soil. Works like a charm! Back to it…Once I had everything I needed then I started to assemble my pot. There’s no right or wrong way to assemble so keep playing with it until it looks good. I added 5 plastic ornaments to help give it more dimension (tie them together with mirror wiring and hook them onto the greenery). My end result looked like this….

Lastly, don’t forget to water the pot until it’s frozen. This will help to keep things in place once it does freeze!
